Convert bank statement PDF to TallyPrime
A bank statement PDF is not something Tally can read on its own, so most offices retype it — line by line, every month, for every account. This converter removes that step entirely.
No more typing bank statements into Tally
Open your bank's PDF statement and every entry is read for you — date, description, amount and balance. Nothing to type, and nothing to set up for each bank.
Entries appear in Tally Prime at one click
Your transactions go straight into your own Tally company as vouchers. No Excel file in between, no copying and pasting, and no separate import tool to buy.
Every entry lands in the right ledger
Each transaction is matched to the correct ledger for you. Anything that isn't a clear match is set aside in a suspense ledger for you to check — so nothing is ever quietly posted to the wrong place.
All your accounts, one licence
Use it for as many bank accounts and branches as you have — several accounts, several banks, or several branches of the same bank. You don't need a separate copy for each.
How SunTim PDF to Tally works
Four steps — and only the first one is a setup step you do once.
- 1
Point it at your Tally company
A one-time setup: tell it which TallyPrime company to post into and what your ledger names are. You only do this once.
- 2
Pick your bank and the PDF
Choose your bank, then select one statement or a whole folder of them. Nothing has to be converted to Excel or CSV first.
- 3
Every transaction is read and matched
Date, description, reference number, money in, money out and balance are pulled from each line, and every transaction is matched to the right ledger.
- 4
Post the vouchers into TallyPrime
Review anything that needs your eye, then push. Entries land in your own Tally company as vouchers — no Excel file in between.
Key features
Works with your bank
- Every bank — public sector, private, and leading co-operative banks.
- Your statement is read exactly as your bank prints it, keeping money in, money out and balance apart.
- Recognises NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI, cheques, cheque returns and cash deposits.
- Pick your bank from a list and you are ready to start.
Reads the whole statement
- Every line is picked up — date, description, cheque or reference number, money in, money out and balance.
- Dates, amounts and currency are tidied up for Tally automatically, so there is nothing to clean up first.
- Do a whole folder of statements in one go, and the same file twice is spotted for you.
Gets your ledgers right
- Works out on its own whether an entry is a payment, a receipt or a transfer between your own accounts.
- You decide the rules — which ledger NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, cash, card and UPI entries should go to, for each bank.
- Anything unclear waits in a suspense ledger for you to review rather than going to the wrong ledger.
- Import the same statement twice by mistake and Tally recognises it, so you don't end up with double entries.
Simple to set up, safe to use
- Setting up takes a minute — point it at your Tally company and choose your ledger names.
- Your statements never leave your computer. Nothing is uploaded, stored online, or seen by anyone else.
- Your licence is tied to your Tally Serial Number, so it is yours and only yours.

Frequently asked questions
- What is PDF bank statement to Tally conversion?
- It is the process of turning the PDF statement your bank issues into accounting entries inside Tally. Normally someone reads the statement and types each line in by hand. A PDF to Tally converter does that step for you: it reads the transactions out of the PDF, works out which ledger each one belongs to, and creates the matching vouchers in your Tally company.
- Can I import a bank statement PDF directly into TallyPrime?
- Yes. That is exactly what this software does. You select your bank's PDF statement, the transactions are read from it, and they are posted into your own TallyPrime company as vouchers. There is no intermediate Excel or CSV file to prepare, and no manual data entry.
- How do I do bank statement entry in TallyPrime without typing each line?
- Select your bank's PDF statement and every line is read for you — date, description, reference number, money in, money out and balance. Each transaction is matched to a ledger and posted into TallyPrime as a payment, receipt or contra voucher, so there are no bank statement entries left to type by hand. The same works in Tally.ERP 9.
- Can I upload a bank statement to Tally?
- Yes. Pick the statement PDF, or a whole folder of them, and the transactions are imported into your Tally company as vouchers. The upload goes only into your own local Tally installation — the statement is read on your computer and never sent over the internet.
- Do I need a bank statement Excel format or template to import into Tally?
- No. Most bank statement imports into Tally expect you to first copy the statement into a fixed Excel import format. This software skips that step: it reads your bank's PDF statement directly, so there is no Excel template to download, fill in or fix before importing.
- How does the PDF to Tally conversion work?
- You tell it once which Tally company to post into and what your ledger names are. After that, choose your bank, pick a statement PDF — or a whole folder of them — and every line is read: date, description, reference number, money in, money out and balance. Each transaction is matched to a ledger, you review anything that needs your attention, and then you push the vouchers into Tally.
- Which banks are supported?
- We support all banks, covering public sector, private, and leading co-operative banks. Your statement is read the way your bank prints it, so money in, money out and balance are never mixed up.
- Does it work with TallyPrime?
- Yes. The software works with all versions of Tally, including TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9. Your entries are posted as vouchers straight into your own Tally company.
- Can it match transactions to ledgers automatically?
- Yes. Each transaction is matched to a ledger for you, and the software works out on its own whether an entry is a payment, a receipt or a transfer between your own accounts. You set the rules for how NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, cash, card and UPI entries should be treated, for each bank.
- What happens to transactions the software can't match to a ledger?
- Nothing is ever skipped or lost — every transaction in your statement becomes a voucher in Tally. Automatic ledger matching assigns each one to the correct ledger, and anything unclear is set aside in a suspense ledger for you to review, rather than being guessed at.
- How are duplicate transactions handled?
- Each voucher carries the reference number from the statement narration — the UTR on a NEFT, RTGS or IMPS entry, or the cheque number — so importing the same statement twice by mistake updates the existing entry instead of creating a second one. You do not end up with double entries in your books.
- Does it read UTR numbers and narration details?
- Yes. The full narration is read for every transaction, and the reference inside it — the UTR on a NEFT, RTGS or IMPS entry, or a cheque number — is extracted and carried onto the voucher. The narration is also what the software uses to recognise a transfer between two of your own accounts and post it as a contra entry rather than as a payment.
- Do I need a separate licence for each bank account?
- No. Your licence covers your Tally Serial Number, and you can configure as many bank accounts as you need — multiple current accounts, multiple branches, or several accounts with the same bank. Each account gets its own ledger settings, so your books stay clean and separate.
- Is my bank data uploaded anywhere?
- No. Your bank data never leaves your computer. Statements are read on your own machine and posted directly into your own local Tally installation. Nothing is uploaded to the internet, and no copy of your financial data exists anywhere but your own system.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. There is a 7-day free trial with a fully working product key and no credit card required. You claim the key, download the installer for Windows, and can start converting your own bank statements straight away.
- How long does a 200-transaction statement take?
- Under a minute, start to finish, on a normal office PC.
